International reggae artiste and official ambassador for ‘One King Mineral Water’ Julius Amua-Sekyi, who goes by the stage name Shasha Marley has passed a critical comment on how Ghanaians don’t pay attention to lyrics.
There has been cases where, artistes complain on how Ghanaians sing the lyrics to their songs wrongly.
And because of how they understand it, they judge the song negatively.
Legendary Award winning Ghanaian Reggae Artiste Shasha Marley has passed a critical comment about how Ghanaians don’t pay attention to lyrics of a certain music.
Shasha Marley made this comment after he recalled how he was lambasted and backlashed after his release of ‘Maata Family’
‘Maata Family’ a song which speaks about how he lost his three good friends was wrongly sang by Ghanaians.
Ghanaians attributed the ‘Maata Family’ song to flatulence because of the title and the names of his three good friends he haven’t seen for awhile after helping him out of troubles.
According to Shasha Marley, when people see him on the street, they start to sing his ‘Maata Family’ wrongly because they didn’t get the lyrics clear.
‘Maata Family’ became very big in 2007 and got him two awards at the Vodafone Ghana Museum Awards upon all the buzz and brouhaha surrounding the song.
‘Maata Family’ was one of the biggest song in the year 2007 it went to national and international. He made this revelation on one on one interview with Kwei Jeff on Twincity radio.
Shasha Marley who is currently out with a new song dubbed ‘Gloria Akuffo’ explained another problem he went through when he posted the artwork of the song on his social media handles.
He said;
“After sharing my new song titled ‘Gloria Akuffo’ artwork on my social media handles, I received a lot of calls from my friends who are into politics and some top politicians to pull down the song i want to release. I was really surprised to hear this comment because they haven’t heard the song and they were thinking it will be a political song because our first lady bears the same name”. He added.
According to Shasha Marley, his new song ‘Gloria Akuffo’ speaks about how his Ex girlfriend he showered much love on her disappointment him after their long relationship.
Shasha Marley also hinted on releasing an album after giving his fans a three solid singles.
The official ambassador for ‘One King Mineral Water’ again added that One King Entertainment under One King Logistics is going to hunt talent for Talents in W/R.
