The main suspect linked to the murder of Imoro Sherrif, a soldier who was viciously attacked and killed in Taifa, a suburb of Ashaiman in Accra on March 4, 2023, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.

After a week of persistent intelligence-led efforts, the Police have succeeded in apprehending the main suspects linked to the murder of Imoro Sherrif, the soldier whose lifeless body was discovered in Taifa, Ashaiman on March 4, 2023.

Imoro Sherrif, a 21-year-old soldier who was allegedly murdered in Ashaiman, was laid to rest at the Burma Camp Military Cemetery in a solemn burial ceremony.

Following the completion of certain Islamic rites, the body of Sherif Imoro, a trumpeter serving with the Ghana Armed Forces Band stationed in Sunyani, was prepared for interment at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. The National Chief Imam, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, offered prayers for his departed soul. Imoro was allegedly killed by a mob in Ashaiman Taifa the previous Saturday.

Last Saturday, a mob reportedly killed Sherif Imoro, a trumpeter serving with the Ghana Armed Forces Band stationed in Sunyani, located in the Bono Region, in Ashaiman Taifa.

It is unfortunate that Friday, March 4, 2023 would have been Sherif Imoro’s third journey home, but his life was cut short when he fell victim to a gang and was tragically killed. He has now been laid to rest at the Burma Camp cemetery.
