Black Entertainment Awards popularly known as BET Awards is an annual special award that celebrates Black excellence in music and art, black culture, and sport.

The show is always presented in a glamorous and unique way annually, this year was opened by singer, rapper, and songwriter Lizzo.

The night was hosted by Taraji P Henson, but Lizzo blessed us with a performance of her latest wave, “About Damn Time”.

Countless award presenters, musicians, and winners of the night called for action concerning the Supreme Court’s decision to invalidate Roe v. Wade on Friday

There was an intense feeling of euphoria, Brandy did an amazing performance with Jack Harlow, and as usual Mariah Carey didn’t disappoint us but rather surprised us with some impressive great notes performance with Latto.

Sean Combs known in the show biz as P-Diddy or Diddy, received a lifetime achievement award. He was distinguished by a host of fellow industry players and former collaborators like Mary J. Blige and Kanye West also known as Ye.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air- Will Smith who caused a lot of controversy at the Academy Awards before winning the best actor Oscar also won the BET Award for best actor on Sunday.
