Well-known musician cum radio broadcaster Blakk Rasta has raised an eyebrow on how awards scheme are fraudulent and sham.

There are numerous awards ceremonies held in Ghana to reward people in the arts, fashion, entertainment, football, entrepreneurship and other sectors.

Awards ceremonies are great way to recognise people works. It makes people feel that their works are being valued and it also shows approval and gratitude for each other person’s good job.

For one to earn or gain recognition by any awards ceremonies held in Ghana, the said person who have been nominated needs to spend money inorder to power his or her opponent.

Reacting to this, Ghanaian popular musician who doubles as a presenter, Abubakar Ahmed , who is known in the showbiz space as Blakk Rasta has revealed how awards scheme are deceptive and sham.

Speaking on Okay FM with Abeiku Aggrey Santana, He recalled how they yearned for awards when they were at their youthful stage with the little they have.

According to Blakk Rasta, he doesn’t see why award scheme would allow fans of musician to vote for their win with their money.

He went on to explain why an awards scheme will ask music lovers to vote for their favourite whiles they knew the Artiste who put much effort under the year review.
