Swedish audio streaming and media services provider Spotify has released a list of Africa’s most-streamed Artistes on their app.
The list was compiled according to how consumers consumed their favorite African artistes on their streaming app.
Spotify gave its audience eight of Africa’s most-streamed artistes of all time.
Wizkid
Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, who is professionally known in the entertainment industry as Wizkid topped the list.
The ‘Essence’ crooner is now the most streamed African artiste of all time on Spotify with 4.38 billion streams.
Burna Boy.
Nigerian artiste Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, who is widely known in the showbiz industry as Burna boy was placed second as the most streamed African artiste on Spotify.
The ‘Question’ hitmaker was able to amass 2.713 billion streams on Spotify.
Fuse ODG
British-Ghanaian singer Nana Richard Abiona, who is known in the showbiz circle as Fuse ODG was placed in the third position.
Fuse ODG got 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
Mr Eazi
Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, who is widely known as Mr. Eazi become the fourth most-streamed African artiste on Spotify.
His total streams on Spotify is 1.32 billion Spotify.
Soolking
Algerian rapper Abderraouf Derradji, better known in the entertainment circle as Soolking becomes the most firth streamed artiste according to Spotify.
His total streams on Spotify are 1.31 billion streams on Spotify.
Ckay
Nigerian singer Chukwuka Ekweani, known professionally as Ckay is now the sixth streamed artiste.
He was able to amass 900 million streams on Spotify.
Davido
Nigerian songwriter and singer David Adedeji Adeleke, known as Davido was placed in the seventh position.
He got 882 million streams on Spotify.
Die Antwood
South African alternative hip hop group, Die Antwood was placed at the eighth position on Spotify.
They got 833 million streams on Spotify.
