We thought we had seen everything until we watched a video circulating on the internet that showed the moment a robber was told to sing a gospel song in order to be released.
We don’t know if it’s become common practice for crowds to order a thief they’ve apprehended to do insane things after receiving a significant thrashing from the society’s outraged mobs.
We’ve witnessed a few of thieves apprehended by mobs that demand that they dance to a tune, eat before undergoing their penalty, or laugh while receiving their punishment.
This time, a thief apprehended by a neighborhood watchdog was forced to sing a gospel hymn in order to be released. He began singing ‘Aseda Ny3 Onyame di3.’
As they assisted the thief in singing his favorite gospel song, the mob burst out laughing. The footage did not reveal what he stole. The location of the community was not revealed in the video.
